Why Our Alterations Cost $800 and Why It’s Worth It

We know wedding dress alterations can feel like one of the more mysterious parts of the bridal process and we want to make sure you feel informed and confident every step of the way. That’s why we’re breaking down exactly what’s included in our $800 flat fee for in-studio alterations, and why this investment ensures your gown fits perfectly and looks flawless on your big day.

What’s Included in the $800 Flat Fee?

Our alterations package is designed to be simple, transparent, and comprehensive. For $800, here’s what you get:

  • Three Fittings: We include three fittings in with our alterations price. Each fitting will cover a different area of the dress (ex. hem work, bodice work, bustle), which will then come together at the end to a fabulous dress that was made specifically for you.
  • All Standard Alterations: This covers everything needed to ensure your gown fits and functions as it should—including:
    • Hemming (even for multiple layers)
    • Taking in or letting out the bodice
    • Adjusting straps
    • Adding cups or support
    • Bustles (for any train style)
    • Sleeve or strap adjustments
    • Zipper/hook & eye corrections
    • Lining tweaks or small re-construction for fit
  • Dedicated Seamstress Support: You’ll be working one-on-one with our in-house team who knows our dresses inside and out. Their experience ensures your gown is treated with care, skill, and attention to detail.
  • On-Site Convenience: Your fittings take place right in our studio—no traveling to separate tailors or explaining your vision to someone unfamiliar with your dress.

What’s Not Included?

The flat fee covers everything except custom design work. That includes major modifications like:

  • Changing necklines
  • Adding/removing sleeves not part of the original design
  • Reconstructing bodices
  • Full redesigns

If you’re considering custom changes, we’re happy to discuss pricing and feasibility prior to your first fitting. We will put you in contact with our head of alterations, Meghan, and she can further assist your questions.

Why a Flat Fee?

We chose a flat fee to eliminate the confusion (and surprise bills) that can happen with piecemeal pricing. Many bridal salons charge per item—$150 for a hem here, $200 for a bustle there—and costs can quickly add up. Our flat fee ensures peace of mind and no surprises, regardless of how much work your gown needs.

Your wedding gown is one of the most important garments you’ll ever wear. It deserves professional, skilled attention to make sure it fits beautifully and feels incredible. Our in-house team has years of experience working with delicate fabrics, intricate beadwork, lace, and couture construction—so you’re in the very best hands.

If you have any questions about alterations, we’re always here to help. We want every bride to feel confident, supported, and absolutely stunning in their gown. The way you feel in your dress matters just as much as how it looks.
